MTCS Secondary Bounces Back

The school, destroyed by riots in May, reopens in a temporary space at the Mall of America.

Minnesota Transitions Charter School Secondary was destroyed amidst the civil unrest that took place in May, but the school pivoted quickly and has found a new, temporary home in the Mall of America. A local A+D firm reached out to Intereum to partner up and help the school ready the new space for their 150 students. Our education team, led by Kimberly Kirkeide, stepped up to do what we could to ease MTCS Secondary's transition. Intereum donated various furniture pieces we had available, including task chairs and lounge furniture. Our team was able to specify the rest of the furniture needed for the makeshift classrooms and get it ordered, delivered, and installed in under two weeks. We are proud to have collaborated on this effort to support our local schools and communities and help rebuild Minneapolis.
