Through the Looking Glass: Fusion + Fashion 2016
For one evening a year, nothing is as it seems.
Each year, IIDA Northland Chapter hosts the Fusion + Fashion show in which “local members of the design community compete in a Project-Runway style competition with garments created out of on-traditional materials.”
This year, Fusion was held at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Alice in Wonderland theme was executed with style and the stadium was lit with purple and gold hues. The judges included Jahna Peloquin, Minnesota Monthly’s style editor; Nate and Erin Moren, owners of Tandem Made; and Tricia Heuring, co-founder of Public Functionary.
This year, the competition was even more intense. Bold peacock masks, skirts made entirely of wood, and vapor smoke filled the stage. It was a proud moment for Intereum when we were announced as our model was awarded Best Hair and Makeup!
